I haven't been able to write these last few days because my son has been having difficulty concentrating after P.E. class. (and I am dealing with making it better) This is due to the fact that boys in Grade 7 like to douse themselves in a body spray called AXE. I have experienced that scent first hand and it has made me SICK. The principal was very supportive of Ryan's "allergy" which is not really an allergy. MCS is the inability of ones' body to remove toxins properly from the body. Please read the article to understand all the scientific stuff that I am not going to bore you with here. Instead of going through all the scientific stuff,I accepted her idea of an allergy just to help my son get away from the chemicals. You can check out the link to tell you what chemicals you are dealing with when it comes to AXE body spray it isn't pretty. What is a moderate risk for some is a poisoning for us. I have to admit the principal was very nice and accomodating which is the most important in helping him. He gets to change in another area so he is not affected by the chemicals. Hurray. Now, if I could only educate some of the people that still feel it necessary to spray fragrance all over themselves before going to a kid's birthday party at Peter Piper Pizza we would be getting somewhere. You probably sense my irritability from the exposure today. The chemicals where strong and I am feeling all my symptoms to the extreme. I have to call it a night to try and remove my mind from all the body pain. Until next time-

Unfortunately people seem to be so oblivious today to the toxins and chemicals they are subjecting themselves too and I share in your irritability as so few seem to be making the connection of allergies, asthma, psoriasis, etc... and the chemicals they put subject their bodies to.
What is probably the most disturbing is the fact that kids and heck even babies are being subjected to all sorts of unnecessary chemicals and toxins all because people are too busy to care and look into what they are really using.
You are correct.Deodarant has become a obsession.Kids should not used this.Adults can get AXE Body spray samples & try.It is better to avoid chemicals
I found that although it's technically innacurate, explaining MCS as something similar to an allergy makes it easy for people to understand. But MCS and AXE, wow, NOT a good combination!!!! Can your son make it through classes and lunch OK?
