Busy Week- Detoxification and Multiple Chemical Sensitivity

The rest of the week was very busy between the kids karate and school. We have been working with our youngest because of the mold she has always had difficulty with her speech. This was noted on her neurological workup. So I haven't been writing I have been working on beginning letters and sounds. We have always been working with her but this has been a little more intense at least for me because I am always thinking of new games that we can play to learn. So if anyone has a great game they can think of let me know. I am always up for new ideas. I haven't even been drinking or making kefir.

I have been doing more research on detoxification. I have found that the best detox I can do for chemicals is to drink alka-seltzer gold. Our environmental physician recommended it and I have found that it helps. I know that if I am in a bad place or have been in a bad place I drink a bottled water with two tablets of alka-seltzer gold every 1-2 hours and I feel much better. I also have been using grams of Vitamin C. They say that you can take as much Vitamin C as your bowels can handle. If you get diarrhea you know that you have reached your limit. Vitamin C to bowel tolerance. The most affective form of Vitamin C is ascorbic acid NOT from corn. Begin with taking 2,000 to 3,000 milligrams (mg) every day and increase by 1,000 mg daily until you have a loose stool several days in a row. Remain slightly below that dosage, daily. You can split the dosage throughout the day if the milligrams run high during the detox process. Ascorbic acid removes toxins from the water stores within your body, and ideally, every cell within your body should be bathed in water. When the ascorbic acid levels have successfully reached every cell within your body, the excess vitamin C excretes in your stool, which makes it soft and watery. I have never reached my limit. These two remedies have helped me feel much better, never perfect, but good. I recommend crystal vitamin C because I think your body can absorb it and use it better. Also, remember if you are watching your PH Vitamin C can turn your urine quite acidic. I have discovered this myself with my PH strips. You can buy Alka-seltzer gold through amazon.com or at CVS Pharmacy in the United States.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Hopefully I will write more soon.

Anna,

I've heard from several people that raw food diets detox the body, and I've started a RF diet myself, but I'm easing into it a percentage at a time. Because it's also a low carb diet it tends to lower one's energy levels until the body adjusts to it, and with MCS I don't have much energy to spare. But since some believe MCS is enzyme related, and raw food diet fans claim that raw food preserves the food enzymes that cooking destroys, it might be worth looking into.

I have tried the raw food diet Lou. For me and the 5 others in my family it was too hard to do. I do use raw as often as I can. I like the Daily Raw blog which has great recipes. http://www.thedailyrawcafe.com/ and there are lots of other books and place to find that. I also like Rose Lee Calabro as an author on the raw diet.

Paige you are very welcome and it is true. It is beneficial to everyone who choses to use it in their daily lives.
