Dr. J.B LaValle- Birth Control-Still Holds Risks

I have an article that I would like to mention. I found the link between birth control and inflammation in this article that I didn't know. Women that take birth control have almost twice as much C-reactive protein as woman who don't take birth control. CRP (C-reactive protein) is a product of systemic inflammation and is known to cause narrowing and hardening of the arteries. Take the time to read the article called Birth Control Pills-Still Holds Risks. For me, it is important to stay on an anti-inflammatory diet and get all the right nutrients I need. I have already increased my magnesium intake which usually helps with headaches. (Can't say it worked this week) I checked out the author of that article- By James B. LaValle, R.Ph, ND, CCN and found his site to be very informative. Please check them out when you have time. A pharmacist that isn't a pill pusher-Hmmm- and actually went into the integrative health route by becoming and Doctor of Naturopathy. Thanks to the Oak Stone Forum Blog I have a new website to watch.

Incense

As I was poking around the web I found this interesting article on Incense Burning and how it increases your risk of certain cancers. Before our exposure to toxic mold I occasionally liked to burn incense especially for meditation. Since I got sick, I don't use it anymore for fear that it will cause my symptoms to increase. Before you light more incense please take a moment to read~ No Sense-Incense because I think you will find it very informative.

Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, Fibromyalgia and Migraines.

I'm sorry I haven't been blogging or reading blogs the last few days. I have had fibromyalgia with a migraine that has the pain radiating to my left dural sinus. A massive dose of perfume from about 10 different woman killed my on Saturday and I have been in constant pain ever since. I think it is finally easing to the point of being able to function but I am so tired that I don't want to do anything. Ah, well, such is the life with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity.

The problem is my neck and shoulders are hurting so much with tightness and trigger points that I think the tension on the muscles is causing my headache to worsen.
Although, some believe that it is a vascular problem.

Here's a little explanation of my chronic headache. Chronic primary headaches, including tension-type or migraines, are common in fibromyalgia patients. Some experts believe that migraine headaches and fibromyalgia may even share common defects in the systems that regulate certain neurotransmitters (chemical messengers in the brain), including serotonin and epinephrine (commonly called adrenaline). Low levels of magnesium have also been noted in both fibromyalgia and migraine sufferers. In fact, chronic migraine sufferers who fail to benefit from usual therapies may also have fibromyalgia.

The term "migraine" refers to a syndrome of vascular spasms of the cranial blood vessels. Symptoms of a migraine attack may include heightened sensitivity to light and sound, nausea, auras (loss of vision in one eye or tunnel vision), difficulty of speech and intense pain predominating on one side of the head. You can check out the rest of the article here.

So that is about all I am writing until my head starts to recuperate. I am taking my magnesium, hoping that in time it will help. See you all soon, when I am up and on-line.

Irradiated Food

I just wanted to add this article on irradiated food.  I heard it on Friday at the Safeway supermarket that people will not be aware of food that is irradiated.  We all know that this is not going to be good.  I am giving you the link to the already fumigated foods that I blogged about in March.  Those foods I do not buy unless I can buy organic.  Are we ever going to make the difference to stop all this chemical poisoning that is going on in this country and most countries around the world. My little niche here can't keep chemicals at bay. I feel this is an uphill battle but I am just not buying these bad foods anymore. I realize I don't even shop in the center of a grocery store at this point. I am shop the parameter and I stay away from the bakery and breads(my favorite as much as possible. I feel another post coming on so look for it soon. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine got me to feel pretty crappy from the Peter piper Pizza perfumathon. Trying to get detoxed by the end of the weekend.

Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and AXE

I haven't been able to write these last few days because my son has been having difficulty concentrating after P.E. class. (and I am dealing with making it better) This is due to the fact that boys in Grade 7 like to douse themselves in a body spray called AXE. I have experienced that scent first hand and it has made me SICK. The principal was very supportive of Ryan's "allergy" which is not really an allergy. MCS is the inability of ones' body to remove toxins properly from the body. Please read the article to understand all the scientific stuff that I am not going to bore you with here. Instead of going through all the scientific stuff,I accepted her idea of an allergy just to help my son get away from the chemicals. You can check out the link to tell you what chemicals you are dealing with when it comes to AXE body spray it isn't pretty. What is a moderate risk for some is a poisoning for us. I have to admit the principal was very nice and accomodating which is the most important in helping him. He gets to change in another area so he is not affected by the chemicals. Hurray. Now, if I could only educate some of the people that still feel it necessary to spray fragrance all over themselves before going to a kid's birthday party at Peter Piper Pizza we would be getting somewhere. You probably sense my irritability from the exposure today. The chemicals where strong and I am feeling all my symptoms to the extreme. I have to call it a night to try and remove my mind from all the body pain. Until next time-

Kefir, lemon and fish oil-O MY!

Hello readers. I was out searching today and found something that is so important to my overall health. My hubby takes fish oil supplements with ease. No nasty taste, no stomach upset or belching. Me on the other hand, I can eat a full meal take one fish oil supplement and I'm dying-my stomach is aching, I'm nauseated and I have this nasty burping going on. Oh yeah, I almost forgot the heartburn and pain in my esophagus caused by the incredibly huge pill. So I stopped taking an important supplement when it comes to helping me decrease inflammation in my body. I had to eat alot of salmon and although I really enjoy salmon, I really don't want to eat it morning, noon and night. I think I might begin glowing from the Mercury or some other nasty chemical found in eating way too much fish. So without further adieu. I found Picking a fight with a Mountain: Fish Oil Supplements for Athletes for my answer. Okay, so I am not an athlete but I think I am a super mom in my dreams and I just wanted to share this with you all. Gotta run and try my fish supplement, kefir, lemon lunch. Until Later.

Cancer-

If you know me very well, you would know that I believe that conventional and alternative medicine is the approach best used in the treatment of an illness. I came across an interesting article from Natural News today. They are the ones that stand up against conventional medicine and the drug companies. Remember a lot of conventional doctors still think that Multiple Chemical Sensitivity is not real. Those same doctors were the ones that believed that Chronic Fatigue wasn't real either but that is such a long story. It would take up my whole blog writing for the day. I wanted to link my blog to this topic because cancer is very near and dear to my heart. I still think that the approach of each individual type of cancer is missing the point of treating a person as a whole but that is just my opinion. Anyway before I write a page full of babble I will link this article and start making my dinner. Hopefully, I will be able to share my non-soy salmon dinner which is such a great meal (healthy and healing).

Breast Cancer Deception

So formulate your own opinion. I find that the truth is usually somewhere in the middle when it comes to big business and health.

Morning Green Smoothie

I recommend getting a Vitamix blender, 100%. I absolutely love mine!!! It was my anniversary present this year, along with a juicer. Yummy!!! I know you might not think that getting a blender or juicer for one's anniversary is very romantic but I have to argue that it was the most precious gift to me. It was given to help our families health. Good health leads to good romance so I started using it right away.(grin) It is high-powered and it can make almost anything smooth. It was my choice over the blendtec total blender. The juicer I picked was the Brevelle Various Speed Juicer over the Champion and Jack Lalannes juicer and it makes great drinks too. Try my Blackberry Lemonade for a great juiced product. Now, for a great green morning smoothie I make one with the following ingredients.

2 peeled bananas

3 naval oranges or whatever orange you may have

fill up the remainder of your blender with organic spinach
and about 4 cups of water.
Add all ingredients in the order given. Blend first on medium and increase to high until smooth. Serve chilled. Will keep in the refridgerator for 2-3 days.
Let me know what you think. For me it is a great morning drink and all my kids love it. (Added bonus!!!)

Everything In Between

My husband just finished a song he was writing over the weekend and I would like to share it with you. It is at Alan Gilman's Myspace Page . Please let us know what you think. I think that was my favorite so far but I liked each and everyone of them :)

Moon Pads

I thought I would share this with you. My sister did years ago and I bought them- Moon Pads. Moon pads is the company I originally bought these products from and have always been happy with them. With multiple chemical sensitivity, it is even more important that I use chemical-free products but when you think about it, it is a good idea for most women. The tampons and pads we can buy at local stores are full of chemicals (usually from the chlorine bleaching process and the pesticides used on the cotton) which probably cause all sorts of medical problems including cancer. I also use and have been very happy with Natracare products. Which I can buy at my local Sprout's Farmers Market. So there you have my environmentally, multiple chemical sensitivity and human friendly products for the day. I just felt like I needed to share how I try to keep chemical-free in my life, although chemical-free is impossible on this planet. I can only avoid what I know can hurt me.

Simplicity

Simplicity is about subtracting the obvious and adding the meaningful ~ John Meada

So here I am doing my google search and find The Canary Report by Susie which is choke-full of information. I thought the article on Household Chemicals and Children's Health was fantastic and commented on it. (Great Site Susie!!!) This just hits home doesn't it. I am not sure if we are going to turn this chemical swamp we all helped create back in this lifetime but I am sure trying on my part. I just got so wrapped up in doing everything quick and fast. This leads to buying things quick and fast, making meals quick and fast. It has taken me all of the past 3 years to build a safe home with my hubby for our family. I don't take the quick way out anymore. I find that it is relaxing to get lost in what I feel is my life's purpose ~ being a wife, mother and homemaker first (you can add in mother lioness if you want to). It is my responsiblity to protect my children as best I can. It is my husband and I that educate them from the moment they come into our lives and it is once they go off to school that we learn how important it was to have good strong morals, values at home. We also try and teach them the things that will keep them safe, healthy and happy. Once they reach school they are influenced by so many other people. It is that foundation that was built on when they were young that we hope gets them through school. That is why I chose to go back to the simple (unpolluted) way of life. I am hoping that they have learned to keep things simple, too. They have watched as we started making our own cleaning products. They have watched how we stopped buying processed food, and they are helping me make our healthy meals. They are learning that exercise and rest is as important as getting a good education. 5 years ago, I was barely able to get out of bed, the toxic mold made me chronically fatigued, dizzy and confused. I watched my children and husband have the same symptoms. The worse thing for mw was that I was pregnant with my youngest at the time. I have fought to be as healthy as I am. I am that yellow canary that is not going to die by the poison that I eat, breathe, and touch because I do not want my children to have to live that way. I am going to find the way to keep my children healthy one step at a time so they never have to feel like that little bird in the coal mine.

On that note- for anyone with MCS I found that along with avoidance the next important step for healing is exercise. When I first worked my way up to 3 miles a day, I almost felt like I did before I got sick. I had to stop my exercise program when I ruptured an ovarian cyst and immediately noticed the difference. For anyone with MCS you need to keep active. The disease will win if you let it.

PUR 2 stage water dispenser- Great Product for chemically sensitive

I have to say trying to keep minimal exposure to everyday chemicals is quite the chore. It is one baby step at a time until you can finally feel like you are making a dent through the your illness. One of the basic things I use in my house is a big PUR water filter that sits by the sink and I fill up and filter as needed. I use it in all my pots when I am cooking and I wash all my fruits and veggies with this water. Saves on getting your whole house water filter. I would love to do that but it is expensive. You can also add filters to your showers and sinks. (I haven't gotten to that) (I am remembering one baby step at a time, right?) I use it for my pets as well.

Ice Cream

Oh my Goodness. I already knew that ice cream is loaded with chemicals but if you want to know more check out Harmful Chemicals turn treat to threat from Natural News. I am so glad that I make almost everything from scratch. My vitamix blender even makes ice cream so we don't have to go for those added chemicals. It is amazing how sick we are making ourselves just eating what is supposed to be healthy. That was my small rant for the day. All I can say is that I'm lovin' 'it' (my own homemade food).

Vitamin D Deficiency~This I didn't know.

Today, I am sitting at my kids karate classes reading Mother Earth News in between watching my 4 year old to my 10 year old trying to break boards and I happened upon a great article on Vitamin D deficiency. I never thought that living in Arizona I would have to worry about getting enough Vitamin D because of all the sun we get here. What I didn't know was that wearing sunscreen decreases your ability to produce Vitamin D by 95%. Wow!!! I had to share that with you because scientist are linking Vit D deficiency with the increase in Cancer, MS and fibromyalgia just to name a few. I guess I need to look into this more.

Household Chemicals and Children's Health

So there are doctors out there that believe my whole families illness is all in our heads. That toxic mold didn't cause neural damage (even though our neurologist confirmed there was damage) This damage was caused by toxic mold. Toxic mold - a) hurt our immune systems, b)increased our inflammatory response, c) increased non-existant allergies to chronic/severe and helped in us developing a sensitivity to most chemicals. Some doctors do believe in MCS and have tried to get us on a better path of healing. It includeds avoiding chemicals that increase symptoms, nutrition, exercise, relaxation techniques and adequate rest. I found this article while reading my google alerts and I wanted to share it with you.

The impact of household chemicals on children’s health
August 12, 2008 by Susie The Canary Report
You know the synthetic chemicals that people with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity say make them sick? Studies show they are some of the same chemicals adversely impacting children’s health.
Here’s a smart article about the links between every day chemicals found in our food & homes and the high incidence of asthma, learning disabilities, and attention deficit and other behavioral disorders in children.
My point in covering this topic is that the chemicals that are showing through mainstream peer reviewed studies to be extremely dangerous in the development of kids’ minds and bodies are the same chemicals to which people with Multiple Chemical Sensitivities are having adverse reactions. This is why people with MCS are called canaries: we were one of the very first groups to tangibly show– through physical reactions– the toxicity of “chemical flavours and preservatives in food, pesticides in fruit and vegetables, chemicals in cleaning compounds, fabric softeners, cosmetics and plastic, as well as vapours in vehicle exhaust, carpeting, paints and upholstery” (see in italics below). As noted in the following article in the Daily Mirror, these are in fact the same chemicals now being linked to measurable diseases in children.
Today, diseases of children have shifted from the brief and simple infections to complex, chronic conditions. Many ADHD experts, lacking any concrete diagnostic answers, attribute the condition to genetic causes because most children with ADHD have a sibling with similar problems. However, the rapid increase in cases make it unlikely to be the result of genetic factors.
Kevin Cutler, naturopath writing about characteristics of children with ADD was struck by the fact that no matter what age, each child displayed the following characteristics.
An almost fanatical sugar or carbohydrate addiction
Signs and symptoms of rapidly fluctuating blood sugar levels
Environmental medical research is producing mounting evidence that environmental and chemical exposure factors can cause damage to the delicate brain growth factors in the unborn child during pregnancy.
An adrenal imbalance
Neurological harm has the potential to cause learning disabilities, hyperactivity and other child behavioural disorders.
Public exposure to identified chemical sources continue to grow and children are subjected to hundreds of chemicals neurotoxins simultaneously.
These include chemical flavours and preservatives in food, pesticides in fruit and vegetables, chemicals in cleaning compounds, fabric softeners, cosmetics and plastic, as well as vapours in vehicle exhaust, carpeting, paints and upholstery [emphasis added].
ADHD involves two sets of symptoms, inattention and a combination of hyperactivity and impulsive behaviours.
All children are more easily distracted and impulsive than adults. They are inconsistent, affected by momentary events and distracted by the immediate environment.
The testing of chemicals which takes place in children’s bodies as they are subjected to hundreds of chemicals simultaneously result in a range of allergies and sensitivities.
Drugs simply suppress symptoms allowing parents and teachers to continue with lifestyle practices that are clearly toxic to the child’s development.
We should be asking ourselves if ADHD is simply another disease arising from the choices we make about the way we live, the way we consume and the way we dispose of waste.

Labelwatch.com NO HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP

This was a pleasant suprise in my inbox today. You can now check the labels of over 25,000 different foods on-line. That let you know when they contain bad products like that High Fructose Corn Syrup that has lead people to alot of medical problems. Check out http://www.labelwatch.com/ when you have the time. I know I read so many labels when I am out shopping for products. This is because we live on fresh vegetables, fish and whole grains. I don't buy many other canned products except for tomatoes products. I find that when I do need to buy a special ingredient for a recipe I read each and every label checking the one that has the least added ingredients and lowest sodium and sugar. I know that even those cans have several of the 75,000 chemicals that can be added to your food that the food companies don't even have to tell you about. I have started canning, freezing, preserving, dehydrating, blending, yogurt and kefir making all on my own. I am getting another freezer/fridge and I am convert storage space to a second panty. This is all for my health and the failing economy. I am glad my mother, father, grandmother, grandfather and sister have taught me so much about all these things. They have no idea what an inspiration they all are to me.

One added note-I don't eat bread anymore because of the yeast in it but I want to share with you the fact that when you read the labels, you can find one that has minimal ingredients with no High Fructose Corn Syrup in it. I hope everyone is having a great week. I have already had a plumber in my house replacing a leaking garbage disposal. Ugh!! Friday they are fixing my washing machine. Have a great day!

Perfume Sickening for Some

I had to post this- Finally someone without chemical sensitivity has spoken up for what I feel everyday.

Perfume sickening for someComments 2 Recommend 0

BY NATACHA DANNENBERG, GUEST COLUMNIST
Perfume, ah it smells so wonderful. When we put it on, we feel special. Our significant others breathe in deeply and tell us we smell delicious. In most cases this is the scenario. For those who suffer from perfume allergies the story is quite different. I believe that many do not understand the seriousness of such allergies and so I hope this will serve as a vehicle to both inform and educate. Perfumes have been used for centuries and in early times a perfume was a distillation of floral essences. Today, perfumes are created using synthetic chemicals and materials from animals and botanicals. These fragrances are known to cause allergic reactions to those who are sensitive. The reactions can include severe headaches (think migraine), difficulty breathing and asthma. The symptoms can also include nausea, hoarse voice, muscle pain and even difficulty in concentrating. Research has shown that perfumes and indeed many fragrances are respiratory irritants. Those who are sensitive can become disabled when exposed to them and they then cannot take part in normal activities. Sometimes those who suffer from perfume allergy symptoms can have serious health problems. Sadly, a person who has developed an irritation to perfumes is likely to have the sensitivity increase over time with repeated exposure. Obviously, those who have such an allergy are at risk every time they leave their home. Many people like to spray on a scent when they are going to a show or out to dinner and this of course creates a problem for those who are allergic. In order to be able to breathe, those who are allergic have been on occasion forced to change their seats at a theater or in a restaurant. I am aware of only one privately-owned business here that bans perfumes. They have a very visible sign quite impossible not to see as one enters the shop. They also have, "No Perfume Allowed in this Shop" printed on all of their handouts. They had expected these notices would have been respected. Unfortunately there are those who continue to offend with no mind to the distress of those who then suffer. It is my sincere hope that they will read this and come to realize exactly what their lack of consideration can do. I want to believe that those who offend are responsible, caring people who will change their way once they understand how harmful their fragrances are to some others. No, I am not allergic to perfume. I have a dear friend who is and consequently have learned much about this allergy. I am heavy-hearted and perturbed when she suffers, especially when her distress comes from those who have been advised not to use perfume by both a sign and handouts.---Natacha Dannenberg is a Yuma resident.

New Juicer- New Recipes

I hate eating blackberries because of those darn seeds. So I found a great recipe to use in my new aniversary juicer. They really aren't great for juicing but it is better than biting down on their hard little seeds. Blackberries have great antioxidant value.color, and flavor make up for it. You can juice a lemon with the peel on, but wash it well since most lemons are treated with a coat of wax.

Blackberry Lemonade
One 16–ounce glass

Ingredients
1 cup blackberries

½lemon

1 Fuji or other sweet juicy eating apple, cut into quarters

Ice cubes (about 3/4 of glass)

Sparkling water (just enough to top off glass)

Directions
1. In a juicer, juice blackberries, lemon, and apple.2. Pour mixture into a highball or cooler glass. Add a handful of ice and top with sparkling water. Stir and serve.

Healthy Plants for Healthy Living

Living in the desert USA. I realize that I cannot have my doors and windows open 24/7 to circulate air. Of course during pollen season and dust storms, I wouldn't keep them open too often during spring and summer so I have to remember to have a green thumb. There are plants that can benefit our homes by improving our air quality.

The following plants are effective in removing benzene, formaldehyde and trichlorethylene from indoor air. (Now do I have a green thumb for this?)

Gerbera jamesonii (Gerbera daisy)

Chrysanthemum morifolium (Pot or florists mum)

Hedera helix (English Ivy)

Sansevieria trifasciata (Mother-in-law’s tongue)

Dracaena deremensis (variety "Warneckei", "Janet Craig", "Bausei", "Longii")

Dracaena marginata

Spathiphyllum araceae (Peace Lily)

Aglaonema modestum (Chinese evergreen)

Chamaedorea seifrizii (Bamboo palm)

Simple Test For Candida

Simple Test For Candida

First thing in the morning, before you put ANYTHING in your mouth, get a clear glass. Fill with water and work up a bit of saliva, then spit it into the glass of water.
Check the water after a moment or within 2-3 minutes.
If you have a candida yeast infection, you will see strings (like cloudy legs) traveling down into the water from the saliva floating on the top, or "cloudy" saliva will sink to the bottom of the glass, or cloudy specks will seem to be suspended in the water.
If there are no strings and the saliva is still floating after at least one hour, you are probably candida yeast free.
The more strings and cloudiness there is and the faster it develops, the greater the overgrowth.

Candida Albicans and Multiple Chemical Sensitivity

This has been an interesting day based on health and nutrition. I was out at my heath food store buying ingredients to make a quinoa stew (it's bubbling happily on the stove)and thinking about what to make for dinner after all the reading I have been doing. I had been doing some research into yeast and how it can affect your whole overall health when it grows out of control in your body. I knew that MCS patients sometimes have problems with too much yeast so with my anti-inflammatory/mediterean diet I added no yeast. No yeast also means no food for the yeast, which is sugar. So that brings your diet down to no fruits or breads added in. The cashier also informed me that watching the PH of your body you can reduce the happy environment for the yeast. Candida Albicans loves a nice alkaline home to grow. This got me to think. Make your body neutral and you can reduce the yeasts ability to grow. So I picked up some PH strips. The best way to test PH is taking the test 1/2 hour before you eat in the morning. I was greater than 8 (very alkaline) so I had the juice of one lemon added to my glass of water. It seemed to even it out. Okay so now I have to see if the anti-inflammatory/mediterean diet and checking my PH will help me feel better in the long run. This is Day 2 for me will see how it goes. I did find the following article interesting on yeast and thought I would share.

Candida Albicans is opportunistic yeast that often over whelms the body after antibiotic, may be passed from person to person with the exchange of body fluids, and from direct contact. It may be found in the reproductive tract, the mouth, the GI tract and in the blood. There are several common signs of Candida Albicans including vaginal yeast infections, thrush, jock itch and athletes foot. Candida Albicans has been linked to a number of health conditions including; asthma, depression, dizziness, fatigue, headaches, hypoglycemia, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), learning disabilities, menstrual problems, Migraines, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity Syndrome (MCSS), Prostatitis, sinus problems, and Urinary Tract Infections (UTI).
One of the major secondary problems associated with Candida Albicans is weight gain. A number of the problems associated with loosing weight and staying with a diet are doing to Candida Albicans. A person with systemic Candida Albicans will often crave sugar and simple carbohydrates because this is the main source of nutrients for yeast. bulk dmae-bitartrate swings and depression are often associated with the rapid change in blood sugar levels caused by the yeast. Patients often complain of gas and bloating caused by the fermentation of foods in their intestines by the yeast bulk co-enzyme q10 naturally release gas, just like in Champaign and beer. The fermentation of foods in the intestine may also lead to alcohol production that is absorbed through the gut and may lead to symptoms of confusion, altered behavior, and difficulty concentrating. Determining whether you have a Candida Albicans can make a big difference on how easy you will be able to lose weight and keep your weight loss off.
Questions to determine if you may have Candida Albicans:
1. Have you used antibiotics in the last 2 years?
2. Do you have gas or bloating?
3. Do you have sugar cravings?
4. Do you have low blood sugar?
5. Do you have history of yeast infections, vaginal, oral, athletes foot, or jock itch?
6. Does your partner have a history of yeast infections, vaginal, oral, athletes foot, or jock itch?
7. Are you sensitive to smells?
8. Are you sensitive to alcohol?
9. Do you suffer from symptoms that your doctor cannot explain like; headaches, migraines, depression, diarrhea, dizziness, IBS, menstrual or sinus problems?
10. Do you feel fatigued all the time?
11. Do you have a hard time concentrating?
12. Do you just not feel right?
Candia Albicans can be diagnosed by a blood analysis by your physician, though many traditional physicians do not regularly order this test. A major problem with treating Candida Albicans is the low regard most physicians place on controlling it spread. A recent study showed that 27% of nurses and 33% of doctors have Candida Albicans on their hands in a hospital. You can get a reasonable idea if you have problems with Candida Albicans by answering the questions in the box above. A yes answers to 6 or more questions above, associated with any of the signs or symptoms listed above, is a good indicator that you may have a Candida Albicans problem. Dr. Mark Leder, a chiropractor and nutritionist in NYC, states I have treated thousands of women for weight loss and I find that over 75% of them are suffering from Candida Albicans. I tell them, you want to loose weight,? You want to be healthy? Deal with the Candida problem and everything else will follow. A low carbohydrate diet is the first step to dealing with Candida Albicans, but an herbal anti fungal is just as important.
When Candida Albicans presents itself as a vaginal yeast infection or athletes foot will often be treated with medication. Medications may be oral or topical and can be in prescription or over the counter strength. The problems with medications is that they are often short term and or do not get to the root of the problem. To properly reduce the amount of Candida Albicans in the body a low carbohydrate diet is the first step. Nutritional and herbal supplements are also key components. Regular intake of natural anti fungal supplements gives the body a chance to gentle and slowly reduce the amount of Candida Albicans in the body. There are a number of natural anti fungal herbals and products available on the market, but quality and effectiveness vary greatly. One of the best products available, through physicians offices only, is called RxBotanicals Diet Enhancer which contains powerful anti fungal and natural herbal relaxants. The combination of anti fungal and natural herbal relaxants found in RxBotanicals Diet Enhancer gentle lowers the amount of Candida Albicans in the body while making the dieting experience easier and more successful.
America will continue to focus on the weight loss associated with low carbohydrate diets. Nutritionists and physicians will continue to embrace the multitude of health benefits associated with a low carbohydrate diets with herbal remedies and its relationship to reducing Candida Albicans in the body.

Washing Soda

You know I never knew how much I liked using washing soda for my laundry, until just recently. How weird is that when you have shelves and shelves filled with all sorts of toxic laundry chemicals to choose from? You even get to choose those environmentally friendly laundry detergents that are biogradeable, etc. etc. and very expensive. So low and behold, I used washing soda in one of my all purpose cleaners that I make and decided that I might as well try it in our laundry. It had suds and softened the water and I didn't have any static cling after the clothes came out of the dryer. We can't use fabric softeners because of the toxins they emit when added to the heat of the dryer. Another type of laundry soap I haven't tried are the laundry soap nuts but why do I need to when washing soda is so cheap, good and readily available. I think I found a keeper.

Until Next time-

Anna
